Searching for Singletrack in the Sunshine State

This past weekend taught me (again) that you gotta explore where you are. My homestate is always surprising me with its "mountain bike" trails.

Enter Mala Campra in Palm Coast, Florida: This might not have been the toughest trail in the world, but for a flat coastal area, it's a pretty fun singletrack. Very cruisey; great log/bridge/root features (even though it's hard to tell with GoPro as it doesn't capture depth so well).  Plenty of advanced detours, but we took the easy way since we had a super short time constraint. Still had tons of tight turns and close calls.

Check out the video on YouTube for more info on the trail. Thanks to Andy for the heads up on a great song.

    1. I'm working on making them cooler. I had a nice crash on a sudden uphill that came after a sharp turn; actually endo-ed (how do you spell that word?) right into the ground between two tight trees. I scrubbed the video to find it but it disappeared; I think that would have been a terrific slow-mo spot to highlight. ha ha
